Each year, September’s arrival brings about cause for celebration at the Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation. It’s a time to celebrate our anniversary—a time to be thankful for what we’ve accomplished, and toast to all that lies ahead.
This year, we celebrated on September 3rd. Groups of students and their tutors organized a presentation to share their feelings about the Foundation using their ingenuity and endless talent. All children participated in a very enthusiastic and creative way: some sang, some danced, some recited some poetry, and some even performed sketches.
We felt the same feelings of joy the day they left, during their graduation party. There were certainly tears: tears of happiness, tears of nostalgia, tears when old friends and cherished professors entered the room when our graduates least expected it. It was truly bittersweet.
In each presentation, students expressed a common theme. For every child there, the Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation represented the opportunity for a better future for them, their families, and their community.
